I like everything about it, but I have to admit that I am very biassed here as I am a huge fan of Maurizio Bruno’s work. And there is not a lot of text in it. The volume offers a great number of hints and tips, addressing to experienced modellers as well as beginners.

This book is not THE answer on how to paint figures. Some brands are more shiny or more matte, more or less covering etc. Overall, detail is just excellent paintong to a flawless casting with a minimal amount of seamlines. Like the most I began with 28 mm Miniatures from Games Workshop, but dqnilo 5 years I switched completely to larger scaled models with a prefer to 75 mm scale and busts.

Flesh How to paint flesh with oils, step by step. I do not own much fancy technical equipment like an Airbrush or stuff like that. I bought it years ago and even now flip through.

Now this book is obviously not for everybody but for anyone seriously interested in figure modelling it is a veritable bible. The other thing is a bigger project, the Boelg from Alambic Miniatures.

It’s a must have in my opinion for every figure painter.
